Domestic visa
A Maid Visa, also referred to as a Domestic Worker Visa or Tadbeer Visa, allows hired domestic workers from other countries to legally reside and work in the UAE for the duration of their employment contract.
This visa is part of the UAE government’s Tadbeer Program, which was established to streamline the hiring process while safeguarding the rights and welfare of domestic workers. The program ensures transparency, fair treatment, and proper support for both employers and employees.
Importantly, a Maid Visa can only be applied for by the employer once a valid employment contract has been established between the domestic worker and the sponsoring household.

UAE maid visa validity
The UAE tadbeer visa has a validity of one year and must be renewed each year.
UAE maid visa eligibility requirements
To sponsor a Maid Visa (Domestic Worker Visa) in the UAE, the sponsor must meet the following requirements:
Have a monthly salary of at least AED 10,000 (for residents) or AED 25,000 (for expats).
Be married.
Be the head of the family.
The domestic worker must also meet certain criteria:
Must be at least 18 years old.
